Overview The Manager Accounts position is responsible for advising an organization on how to increase shareholder value through prudent financial practices and monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures, and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting. As a leader of the finance team, the manager will work with like-minded professionals and continually focus on sharpening their knowledge and skills so that we remain at the top of our industry. Objectives Develop metrics for driving business performance relative to strategic priorities and minimizing risk. Drive value within the business through aiding margin enhancement and cost optimization. Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations Provide insights into business performance vs. industry trends Manage relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authorities. Ensure compliance to relevant cross border and local regulations. Duties and responsibilities Manage a team that develops financial models and recommendations for executive decision-making by conducting comprehensive analysis and utilizing appropriate methods. Coordinate strategic financial planning for the company, including expenses, income, insurance coverage, objectives, tax status and risk tolerance. Focus on daily and month-end accounting to determine results, including P&L activity (management fees, fee splitting, gross-ups, reclasses), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals), and accounts-receivable cash application, in compliance with IFRS. Support Finance Head in implementing business valuation model, measuring results, tracking performance vs. expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective action. Provide insights about spending trends, cost-optimization initiatives, and margin opportunities Job qualifications and requirements Minimum requirement B. Com., Chartered Accountant 5-10 years overall work experience in Finance function with at least last 3 years as a Finance Manager. Candidates for a Finance Manager role will also need to demonstrate the following qualities: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good business acumen for problem solving Competency with large ERP systems Familiarity with the travel industry Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload Willingness to travel within UAE and internationally as required (20% of the time) As this role requires customer and supplier visits, a UAE driving license would be a preference.
